Becky joined the Scheme Advisory Board Secretariat (hosted by the Local Government Association) as the Board Support and Policy Officer in 2023. Prior to this Becky worked at Shropshire County Pension Fund for over 16 years in various roles before eventually being responsible for the Communications and Governance issues of the fund.

Becky is passionate about the LGPS and the contribution it makes in providing important retirement benefits to those working in Local Government. Becky led on the first collaborative project with multiple LGPS funds to jointly produce scheme member communication and has chaired for many years a regional Communication Working Group to discuss national LGPS communication issues. In the governance area, Becky led on the set-up and implementation of Shropshire’s Local Pension Board. Becky has first-hand experience of the issues faced by LGPS funds. Becky has a first-class honours degree in Business and Management.
