Alison has been involved in advising LGPS funds and their employers for 25 years, initially as a Fund Actuary and latterly as a governance consultant. She has worked with a variety of different funds across all areas of the UK, including metropolitan funds, London Boroughs and county council funds in England. She is Head of LGPS Governance at Barnett Waddingham and is currently heavily involved in supporting a number of LGPS funds in preparing for the Fit for the Future governance changes. In a personal capacity she is Independent Professional Observer to Lothian Pension Fund. Alison has a law degree and a Diploma in Actuarial Science and until recently was a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
