James Silverston joined the FCA as Manager for Institutional Investments Policy in August 2023. Prior to this, he was Director of Financial Services for the Jersey government and held several finance policy leadership roles in the UK Treasury including as Head of Asset Management and Head of Annuities. James has also been active in European policy making; he has worked for the Lithuanian Government and the European Commission. James was deputy head of the UK’s Brexit goods negotiation team.
