Niranjan is Global Head of Investments and Portfolio Manager for the M&G Catalyst Funds. Niranjan has successfully executed transactions in diverse sectors such as Life-sciences, Clean Energy, Enterprise SaaS, Fintech/Consumer Credit, Micro Finance, Aircraft Leasing and Music Royalties amongst others. He also represents M&G on the Board and investment committees of several portfolio companies. 

Niranjan joined M&G in April 2018 from Prudential Capital which was the Principal Investment arm of Prudential Plc where he was an Investment Director. 

Prior to that, Niranjan spent four years as Executive Assistant to the Group CEO of Prudential plc. In that role, he worked on several significant strategic projects in Europe, North America and Asia including significant M&A transactions. His additional responsibilities included assisting the CEO in capital allocation decisions, investor engagement and key stakeholder management (Board and Regulators). 

Niranjan started his career in India, first working for Allianz and then for Prudential in developing insurance distribution strategies. Niranjan played a key role in developing a mass-market and rural distribution platform for the Indian market which was widely adopted by Prudential plc across other emerging markets in Asia. 

Niranjan holds a Masters in Management and Finance from Mumbai University (India) and a Bachelor in Commerce and Economics from Karnataka University (India).
