Andrew Rawnsley is Chief Political Commentator and Associate Editor of The Observer and a regular broadcaster on TV and radio on political issues. Andrew presented the Radio 4 show, The Westminster Hour, securing a series of major news-making and agenda-setting scoops. Before that he was presenter of Channel 4's highly popular, A Week In Politics. He later hosted ITV's flagship political programme, The Sunday Edition.
He has won a series of awards, including the prestigious What The Papers Say award as Columnist of the Year, and Journalist of the Year in both the Channel 4 and Public Affairs political awards. Andrew is the author of the controversial political book, Servants of the People - a Biography of New Labour. His inside account provides an entertaining view and highlights Labour’s inherent problems.
