Having recently returned to London, Jill now works part-time at London Borough of Sutton focusing on finance and investments. Jill also recently joined Redington part time as Head of LGPS to support them with their understanding of the Local Government Pensions landscape and to develop closer relationships with LGPS key stakeholders. Jill worked as Assistant Director, Investments at one of the largest UK pension Funds, the West Midlands Pension Fund, initially covering the broad spectrum of finance and investments for the Fund including investment strategy before moving to focus on responsible investment and investment partnerships.

Previously she worked as Head of Financial Services at the London Borough of Hackney for 12 years managing all aspects of the Pension Fund, along with other financial services. She worked closely with others on the setting up of the investment pooling company, London CIV, before moving to the company as Head of Client Relations. Prior to that Jill worked for over 20 years as a fund manager in the City, firstly in a life company and then for an in-house pension fund concentrating mainly on equities but also being involved in strategic asset allocation and derivatives.
